Mindset Care, Inc. seeks an experienced Disability Hearing Attorney to represent SSDI/SSI claimants through hearings and appeals.

This hybrid NYC role combines legal advocacy with compassionate client service and strong case management in a collaborative office environment. You will work from Mindset’s New York City Financial District office, consult with clients, manage deadlines, review medical records, and stay current on SSA regulations while mentoring junior attorneys and improving digital

Qualifications

• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 4+ years of relevant disability law experience.
• Strong knowledge of SSA rules and procedures.
• Excellent hearing, research, writing, and advocacy.
• Ability to interpret medical records and translate evidence.
• Empathy, judgment, ethics, detail-oriented.
• Strong communication, organization, and tech comfort.
• Ability to work in hybrid NYC office.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff.
• Proficiency with digital case management and cloud tools.

Responsabilités

• Counsel clients on SSI/SSDI eligibility and hearing strategy.
• Represent clients at disability hearings before ALJs.
• Review medical and work history to build strong cases.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs and motions.
• Communicate clearly with clients, agencies, judges, and staff.
• Manage caseloads, deadlines, and documentation.
• Stay current on SSA regulations and case law.
• Coordinate with case managers and provide mentorship.
• Improve workflows using digital tools and AI-enabled processes.
• Ensure accuracy of applications and supporting documentation.
