Job summary

Redhead Supports is seeking an Employment Specialist to train individuals with disabilities in workplace settings, teaching employer-specific tasks and professional behavior to help participants secure competitive, integrated employment.

You will coach, document compliance, build relationships with employers, assist with applications and resume building, and coordinate job placements while supporting participants and collaborating with program partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience serving individuals with disabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Forms.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Job Coaching and Job Development certification (State of Nevada).
• Flexible schedule incl. evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching and training to participants through use of training techniques to instruct on employer-specific job tasks, work responsibilities and skills.
• Fosters and promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
• Ensures quality and performance standards are maintained according to the job specification of the employer.
• Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance.
• Maintains regular contact with the Administrative Manager as appropriate.
• Job Placement of at least one client a month.
• Maintain weekly contact and provide updates to clients.
• Assists individuals with completing applications and resume building.
• Fosters relationships with employers and follows policies and procedures.
• Participates in job-related training to increase skills.
