Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Workforce Absence Team Lead in Dublin, OH to supervise multiple examiner teams handling disability claims. You’ll monitor workloads, provide training, and offer technical direction on adjudication, while ensuring timely diaries and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with experience in claims management. You’ll partner with clients to maintain professional relationships and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of claims supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of claims management procedures for disability claims.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Leadership, motivation, analytical and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for disability claims.
• Monitors workload, provides training, and offers direction on examiner reports.
• Reviews reports, conducts quality reviews, and ensures audit and client standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal and handles complex or high exposure claims.
• Maintains client relations and ensures proper licensing and documentation.
