Job summary

State of Washington's Disability Determination Services seeks an Adjudicator 5 Trainer to train staff in SSA/SSI adjudication, applying federal and state rules, policies, and court rulings. You will organize the training program and coordinate sessions for new adjudicators and other staff.

You should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least four years as an adjudicator, and strong ability to develop lessons, deliver in-person or via video using PowerPoint, and report on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR professional experience adjudicating disability/claims with relevant fields substituted year-for-year for education requirement.
• Four years of recent, successful adjudicator experience in SSA disability claims—must cover all claim types in last 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Train all new Adjudicators and MC/PCs on SSA/SSI adjudication per federal/state rules, policies, processes, and court rulings.
• Develop and implement personalized training for performance improvement.
• Prepare and provide feedback and summary status reports.
• Provide recommendations to management on training needs and issues.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of SSA regulations and policy instructions.
