Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Concurrent Disability Case Manager to oversee, manage, process, and adjudicate STD claims and leave requests. You will evaluate eligibility under federal, state, and plan rules, and communicate with clients and claimants throughout the claims lifecycle.

The role includes identifying barriers to timely return-to-work, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring processes align with company procedures and client workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience managing Leaves and STD disability case management.
• Ability to work online in a paperless environment.
• Strong interpersonal and helping skills with assessment and problem-solving.
• Deep understanding of FMLA and state leave laws.
• Experience with self-insured STD plans and company leave policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage FMLA, military and state leaves; handle STD cases.
• Conduct case assessments by phone, email or meetings.
• Document understanding of situation and factors for return-to-work.
• Review information and consult resources to decide on leave approvals/denials.
• Inform claimants of needed documentation, timelines and status.
