Job summary

Audiochuck in Indianapolis seeks a Director, YouTube to lead and scale our video operation. This hands-on role blends editorial oversight with long-term strategy, owning day-to-day channel execution, packaging, and audience growth across shorts and longform content.

You will build budgets, mentor the Channel Manager and YouTube Producer, develop a multi-channel roadmap, and partner with production and revenue teams to ensure ethical true crime storytelling while driving measurable growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience growing and running YouTube channels at a publisher, newsroom, podcast network, or other content company.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functionally while holding a high bar on quality and audience growth.

Responsibilities

• Own long-term YouTube channel strategy and annual operating plan.
• Lead planning and business cases for new channel launches.
• Manage day-to-day channel execution including scheduling, publishing, and platform management.
• Ensure Shorts and full episodes meet editorial standards and reflect brand voice.
• Build reporting and benchmarks to track progress against the operating plan.
