Job summary

King County's Department of Community and Human Services seeks a seasoned Division Director for the Children, Youth and Young Adults Division. This role leads a large team, partners with county executives, and champions equity while directing programs that build life, academic, and employment skills for youth and young adults.

The Director oversees $200M+ budgets, coordinates with multiple county and community partners, and reports to the DCHS Director.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated extensive leadership experience directing large, complex public sector health and human services operations.
• Proven ability to manage sizable budgets and funder engagement.
• Experience implementing equity, racial and social justice in policies and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear vision, direction, and strategic planning for CYYAD programs aligned with county goals.
• Oversee contracted providers and ensure high-quality service delivery and contract management.
• Embed Equity, Racial and Social Justice into policies and operations across the division.
• Use performance data to plan, administer, and fund youth and young adult services.
• Foster cross-department collaboration to improve outcomes and streamline operations.
• Direct the division's budget planning and financial stewardship, ensuring accountability.
