Job summary

OCHIN, a rapidly growing national nonprofit health IT organization, seeks a Director of Workforce Development to lead programs, manage grants, and ensure on-time delivery of services to federally qualified health centers and safety-net providers.

The role coordinates across internal teams and external partners, oversees performance and reporting, and builds scalable workforce systems for national impact in healthcare workforce development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, public health, education, or workforce development.
• 8+ years of progressive experience leading complex workforce development, education, grant-funded, or service delivery programs.
• 5+ years designing or overseeing workforce pathways, learning programs, apprenticeship, internship, or training initiatives.
• 3+ years coordinating or managing grant-funded programs at the state and/or federal level.
• 3+ years of management experience or formal leadership roles.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives with accountability for timelines, deliverables, budgets, compliance, and outcomes.
• Experience in healthcare, health IT, public health, workforce development, or safety-net healthcare environments.
• Experience building repeatable operating models, governance structures, and scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accountability for workforce development program and grant execution.
• Establish and operationalize a coordinated workforce development model.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across program management, learning and curriculum, finance, and grants teams.
• Coordinate with external partners, funders, educational institutions, and member stakeholders.
• Oversee performance monitoring, reporting, and data analysis.
• Identify risks to delivery and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement of programs and delivery models.
• Support staffing strategy and team development to meet demand.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships to expand pathways and funding opportunities.
