Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to bridge the gap between product ownership and technical execution.
  • Support the definition and implementation of product strategy and vision, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to collect, prioritise, and refine product requirements based on business impact and technical feasibility, ensuring they are clearly defined, measurable, and secure.
  • Lead continuous testing, quality assurance, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimisation in line with enterprise performance standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and evaluate new tools or methodologies to enhance product development and delivery.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders and governance bodies, influencing strategic decisions beyond the immediate function.
  • Oversee resourcing, budget planning, and policy development within a significant sub-function.
  • Appropriately escalate any breaches of policies or procedures.
  • Promote regulatory compliance and ensure processes are in place to uphold applicable standards.
  • Engage with external stakeholders—including regulators and industry groups—to monitor developments and represent the organisation’s interests.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how the function integrates with the wider business to support strategic goals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, sector trends, and external market developments.
  • Apply advanced analytical thinking and strategic insight to solve complex problems and design effective solutions.
  • Make critical decisions and provide strategic recommendations within the remit of the role.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for major clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent the function and broader organisation as a thought leader or spokesperson, where required.

Additional Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of HR Technology services across the US, supporting the establishment of a global HR Technology footprint.
  • Partner with HR leadership to shape and execute a technology strategy that maximizes the value of Workday investments.
  • Bring deep expertise in Workday strategic development and deployment to influence the technology roadmap.
  • Work closely with the HR Colleague Experience Team, contributing to the transition toward an Agile, value-stream-aligned delivery model.
  • Report regionally to the HR CIO, with a matrix relationship to the Global Workday Platform Owner, managing both a local team and a globally distributed pool of resources.
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology trends and best practices to inform product evolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with organisational goals, simplifying administrative processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday, staying engaged with the Workday Community, Rising events, user groups, and ongoing product updates.
  • Design integrated Workday solutions that consider dependencies and mitigate cross-functional risks.
  • Facilitate prioritisation of Workday feature requests and initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders.

A great opportunity to help set up a USA strategy, utilizing your previous experience within a large environment.
