Job summary

Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City seeks a Head Women’s Softball Coach to organize and direct all aspects of the program. The role requires leadership in academics and athletics, recruiting high-caliber student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with MAAC/NCAA rules.

You will oversee training, game day operations, travel, budgeting, and staff supervision while collaborating with Admissions and Residence Life to support student-athletes' housing and progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; five years coaching experience preferred.
• Experience with MAAC/NCAA rules and compliance.
• Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer all phases of a Division I women’s softball program.
• Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Monitor student-athletes academic progress.
• Coordinate travel and budget management.
• Hire, supervise and assign duties to assistant coaches.
• Promote the program and ensure adherence to MAAC/NCAA rules.
• Organize training practices and game day contests.
• Liaise with Admissions and Residence Life for housing.
