Job summary

Saint Peter's University in Jersey City seeks an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to support all aspects of the NCAA Division I program under the head coach. You will help recruit, develop student-athletes and monitor their academic progress, while promoting the program and guiding players on and off the court.

Responsibilities include organizing practices and travel, coordinating gear, and ensuring adherence to MAAC and NCAA rules.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; coaching experience preferred.
Commitment to Jesuit and Catholic mission in athletics.
50% instruct, teach and assist in player development; follow NCAA rules.
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Assist in the administration of all phases of a NCAA Division I women's basketball program.
Help develop and supervise student-athletes by supporting the head coach's strategies.
Assist in recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes with Admissions.
Monitor student-athletes academic progress with the head coach.
Organize, prepare and supervise training practices and game-day contests.
Coordinate travel and assist in gear orders and team promotions.
Ensure compliance with MAAC and NCAA rules and regulations.
