Job summary

Manhattan University is seeking a full-time Assistant Softball Coach to assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the softball program. This in-person, on-campus position requires commitment to NCAA/MAAC guidelines and college policies.

You will recruit, coach, and develop student-athletes, provide multi-phase instruction, plan practices, and support game strategies while fostering a positive program culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Demonstrated softball coaching or instructional experience at college/high school/club.
• Knowledge of softball fundamentals, techniques, and game strategy.
• Ability to teach and develop student-athletes in a positive, structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and develop student-athletes with emphasis on skill growth.
• Provide high-level instruction in pitching or other positions as needed.
• Plan and execute team practices, workouts, and game strategies.
• Support recruiting through evaluation and relationship-building with families.
• Promote Manhattan University softball within the university and community.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, staff, alumni, and partners.
• Assist with administrative and organizational duties as assigned.
