Job summary

Schwab is seeking a Director of Wealth Management Coaching & Consulting to drive consultant effectiveness and client engagement across the Heartland region. The role partners with branch leaders to deliver development programs, coach professionals, and use data-driven insights to shape growth strategies.

The position requires extensive experience in wealth management, extensive travel (≈50%), and a strong ability to influence diverse audiences while balancing risk and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required.
• 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
• 7+ years of sales leadership, coaching, consulting, or advisor development experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wealth management, financial planning, and client engagement strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop professionals through structured consulting and performance improvement approaches.
• Deep understanding of brokerage, advisory, and banking products and services.
• Ability to leverage data, metrics, and business insights to identify trends and develop action plans that drive results.
• Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize competing opportunities and effectively manage risk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% and reside within the Heartland Region (Edina, MN; Omaha, NE; Denver, CO).

Responsibilities

• Lead coaching and consulting initiatives to improve advisor performance.
• Partner with branch leaders to drive client engagement and growth across the Heartland region.
• Evaluate performance trends and implement actionable strategies.
• Develop and deploy development programs for wealth management professionals.
• Collaborate across branches to balance priorities and manage risk.
• Travel to coaching sites to support relationship building and execution of growth initiatives.
