Job summary

Delaware Wetlands Division seeks a Division Director to guide the Watershed Stewardship program, overseeing strategic policy, program development, and budget execution in alignment with DNREC's mission.

The role directs professional staff and consultants, coordinates with state and national entities, and drives operational plans for a division with an annual operating budget exceeding $20M.

Qualifications

• Experience setting goals and priorities aligned with an organization's mission.
• Experience in policy administration including planning, developing, implementing and evaluating policies.
• Experience in strategic planning for 3–5 years with objective mapping and performance measures.
• Experience in operations management including directing and coordinating teams.
• Experience in financial administration including budgets, forecasting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative and technical guidance to subordinate staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations concerning budgets, contracts, personnel, and fiscal activities.
• Analyze and improve administrative functions and develop new systems.
• Represent the Department at meetings and committees.
