Job summary

Halff is seeking a Director (PE) for Water/Wastewater in Austin to lead and grow our practice. The role requires 15+ years of delivery experience, a Texas PE license, and a strong municipal client network.

You will mentor teams, drive business development, and oversee the successful delivery of complex projects, including treatment facilities and conveyance systems, while shaping Halff's regional growth and services.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience delivering water/wastewater and utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to build and maintain municipal client relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Demonstrated success winning projects and contributing on pursuit and delivery teams.
• Servant leadership and experience leading, developing, mentoring, and motivating staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple Water/Wastewater engineering teams and staff.
• Lead business development, identify opportunities, expand municipal networks, and strengthen partners.
• Oversee delivery of water/wastewater projects on schedule and within budget.
• Direct planning, design, and execution of large multi-discipline projects.
• Review designs, calculations, reports, and construction documents for quality and compliance.
• Implement QA/QC practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop scopes, fees, staffing plans, schedules, and resource projections.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define requirements.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and contract pursuits as lead professional and project manager.
• Stay informed of trends and apply innovations to improve delivery and client value.
