Halff is seeking a Civil Engineering Team Leader for our Water/Wastewater practice in Houston/The Woodlands, TX. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in civil engineering with water/wastewater focus and a Texas PE license, and is capable of leading a team, managing budgets, and pursuing new business with clients in public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent.
• 12+ years of civil engineering experience with water/wastewater focus.
• Licensed Professional Engineer, preferably in Texas.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Self-directed leader able to guide others and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to the water/wastewater team.
• Lead civil design and production for moderate to advanced water/wastewater projects.
• Make independent decisions and resolve complex problems.
• Manage direct reports and project budgets, schedules, and sub-consultants.
• Oversee client interactions and pursue water/wastewater opportunities.
• Support operations managers and practice leaders in business development.
• Maintain client relationships in the Houston area and beyond.
• Identify and pursue land development design opportunities.
• Directly manage projects and supervise project managers.
• Coordinate workshare across Halff across multiple projects.
