Job summary
WM is seeking a Director of Wastewater Process Engineering to lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment. You will report to the Sr. Director of ESWT and develop policies, procedures, and best practices across facilities.
The role monitors regulatory developments, translates insights into strategic plans, and provides technical leadership for complex projects. You will collaborate with internal and external SMEs on technology research and development and drive
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, environmental management, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 10 years total experience, with 7+ years in industrial wastewater treatment design and operations.
- PE license preferred but not required.
- Experience with environmental engineering and landfill liquids treatment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate research and implementation of landfill liquids treatment.
- Provide technical leadership for leachate treatment projects.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
- Develop policies and best practices for environmental management.
- Lead outside consultants and researchers.
