Job summary

The Western Union Company in the United States is seeking a Director of Product Operations for Wallets and Card Issuance to shape and execute operations strategy across digital wallet, payment systems and core account platforms.

You will lead risk controls, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and drive end-to-end product operations, collaborating with engineering, risk, compliance and external partners to deliver scalable, reliable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in banking operations, payments, core account services, or financial services product operations, with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead product operations for wallets, card issuance, and account platforms.
• Drive end-to-end product operations ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Oversee risk controls, fraud management and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, risk, and external partners.
• Define requirements for fraud prevention and risk management strategies.
• Develop real-time monitoring and incident response frameworks.
• Manage launches, upgrades, migrations, and sunsetting.
