Morgan Stanley is seeking a Blockchain Engineer to join the Digital Assets Platform Technology team in New York. This director/VP level role leads the engineering of scalable, secure custody, tokenization, and blockchain services across the firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technology experience, Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on with digital assets, blockchain, tokenization, or distributed-ledger tech.
• Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS) with CI/CD, DevSecOps, containers, IaC, and modern platform engineering.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team for secure, scalable digital asset custody capabilities.
• Define engineering roadmap for custody, wallet, key-management, blockchain connectivity, and platform services.
• Design custody solutions with security-by-design, key protection, transactional integrity, access controls, and auditability.
• Design integrations with custody and wallet providers, blockchain networks, node infra, and downstream platforms.
• Establish secure patterns for the digital asset lifecycle: creation, validation, authorization, signing, submission, confirmation, reconciliation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, legal, operations, product to translate requirements into robust tech solutions.
• Own production readiness: CI/CD, monitoring, incident management, DR, business continuity, secure release management.
• Implement secure coding, automated testing, threat modeling, vulnerability management, code reviews, and production controls.
