Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a US Field Medical Operational Excellence Director to drive strategic alignment across Medical Affairs and asset teams. The role collaborates with Finance, Compliance, and cross-functional partners to advance initiatives and ensure compliant, efficient execution of medical plans.

The position oversees enablement platforms, champions AI-enabled improvements, and guides performance measurement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required + 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry or related fields.
Advanced degree highly preferred with 7+ years in pharmaceutical industry or related fields; PharmD/PHD + 5+ years of experience.
Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools, data analysis, and process automation to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Drive alignment of goals across Medical Affairs categories and asset teams with cross-functional partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with Finance, Contracts & Outsourcing, Compliance and Operational Excellence teams to advance Medical Affairs projects.
Lead the development and governance of medical processes, SOPs, and enablement systems.
Own day-to-day operations of Field Medical enablement platforms (CLM, One Med, SharePoint) and oversee AI-enabled tool rollouts.
Track performance metrics and coordinate with Medical Impact and Outcomes teams.
