Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks a Director of Upward Bound Programs to lead two Upward Bound initiatives, supervise staff, manage resources, and collaborate with campus leadership to advance equity and access in higher education.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, partnerships, data reporting, and overseeing a 6-week hybrid summer program. Travel to affiliated campuses may be required; on-campus or hybrid schedule options are available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Counseling or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in K-12 schools or other educational organizations.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with educational equity programs serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic planning initiatives and program objectives to ensure effective use of resources and alignment with the department's goals.
• Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, promotion, and performance management for staff.
• Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships.
• Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Advises institutional or divisional leadership on pre-college program services and student needs.
• Develops and oversees the program budget.
• Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations and policies.
• Collects student academic data and prepares it for Annual Performance Report to the DOE.
• Plans and implements hybrid 6-week summer program for participants, including on-call duties and travel.
