Job summary

University of Dayton is seeking an Upward Bound Program Manager to lead, implement, and oversee all aspects of the program in three local high schools.

The role includes managing budgets, submitting annual performance reports, and supervising staff and the Summer Academy, with a focus on academic preparation for first‑generation students. The program is federally funded through August 2027.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Student Personnel, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three years of professional supervision experience in student support services or related areas.
• Two years of program development, budgeting, and reporting experience.
• Two years of experience with first generation college and underrepresented populations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurable by the University.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, tact, and professional demeanor.
• Experience consulting and building positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement all facets of the Upward Bound program.
• Manage the program budget according to federal regulations.
• Submit annual performance reports.
