Job summary

Wittenberg University is seeking an Assistant Director for the Upward Bound program. This role will work with staff to carry out essential operations and report to the Director of Upward Bound.

Essential duties include coordinating recruitment, conducting student assessments, scheduling tests, and maintaining records while supporting program goals. Strong writing, communication, and MS Office skills are required, with weekend/evening work possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in a closely related field.
• 1–3 years of experience required.
• Knowledge of academic and psychological tests.
• Familiarity with TRIO-funded programs and target populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute cultural and recreational programs during the academic year and six-week summer component.
• Carry out director responsibilities in their absence.
• Develop program policies with the Director.
• Contribute to proposals and annual reports related to student needs assessment.
• Coordinate recruitment of students and assess needs of participants.
