Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks a Director of Upward Bound Programs to provide strategic direction and leadership for UW-Green Bay’s Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math & Science programs. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, develop partnerships, and advance equity in higher education access for K-12 students.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Access and Success, this exempt, full-time role offers a hybrid on-campus schedule, with occasional travel to other

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Counseling or a related field at time of application.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in K-12 schools or other educational organizations.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with educational equity programs serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes program objectives.
• Exhibits supervisory authority over at least 2.0 FTE employees.
• Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships.
• Serves as unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Advises institutional leadership on pre-college program services and student needs.
• Develops and oversees the program budget.
• Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations and unit objectives.
• Works with staff to collect student academic data for reporting to the Department of Education.
