Ladders is seeking a Director Underwriting to lead underwriting strategy and guide a team supporting complex pricing decisions in a highly regulated healthcare environment. This role will collaborate with Legal, Client Engagement, and leadership to ensure accurate, timely financial responses, bid workflows, and contractual terms.

The position offers remote work flexibility and a compensation range of $124,000–$211,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8 years of underwriting, healthcare finance, pricing, consulting, actuarial, or related experience.
• 5 years of leadership and people management experience.
• Advanced underwriting and financial acumen.
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

For our client, we are seeking a Director Underwriting to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will oversee underwriting strategy and day-to-day direction for a team supporting complex pricing and margin decisions. The role will partner closely with legal, client engagement, and leadership teams to ensure financial responses, bid workflows, and contractual terms are accurate, timely, and aligned to business objectives. This position will also help shape pricing approaches and maintain operational discipline across underwriting activities in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $124,000 – $211,000 annually
