Job summary

Prime Therapeutics is seeking a Director, Underwriting to lead multiple underwriting teams and drive pricing strategy, financial analysis, and proposal development. The role oversees underwriting operations across client segments to ensure financial performance and market competitiveness.

You will influence business strategy, support growth, and deliver sustainable financial outcomes while partnering with Legal and Client Engagement to ensure accurate, well-supported bids and terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in math, accounting, finance or related field; HS diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years in underwriting, healthcare finance, pricing, consulting, actuarial, or related area.
• 5+ years of leadership/people management experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and daily guidance to underwriting managers.
• Develop, drive, and implement pricing and margin strategies for ASO.
• Coordinate underwriting workflow across teams and bids for RFP responses.
• Ensure contractual terms, caveats, and information support the deal as underwritten.
• Contribute to staffing plans, productivity metrics, and efficiency initiatives within the department.
• Support Blue Plan Leadership with direct consultation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
