Job summary

Quanta-Services seeks a Director, Engineering PMO for Transmission Line to lead enterprise governance, strategy, and delivery across high‑voltage projects. You will align with executives, operations, and clients to ensure scalable engineering and long‑term value creation.

The role requires 15+ years in electric utilities, a BS in Engineering (ABET‑accredited), and strong leadership in budgets, risk, and talent development. PE license preferred; on‑site Houston role.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in electric utility engineering, program mgmt, and/or management of high‑voltage transmission programs across regions.
• Proven leadership of large, multidisciplinary engineering orgs delivering complex projects.
• Experience with governance, policy development, budgeting, forecasting, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership for the Transmission Line Engineering PMO; set vision and priorities.
• Establish and maintain engineering governance frameworks across the project lifecycle.
• Ensure policies, risk management, and quality systems are applied consistently.
• Oversee portfolio of transmission programs; align with schedule, budget, safety objectives.
• Drive portfolio reporting, KPIs, and executive dashboards.
• Mentor Engineering PMs and senior leaders; develop workforce strategy.
• Define staffing, succession planning, and capability development.
• Foster safety, integrity, and continuous improvement culture.
