Job summary

AcelaBio seeks a Director of Translational Sciences to lead Scientific Operations, oversee assay development, digital image analysis, and bioinformatics for global clinical studies and R&D. You will shape strategy, ensure quality, and drive scalable solutions while staying hands-on on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 10+ years in assay development, digital pathology/image analysis, or bioinformatics.
• Proven leadership with strategic impact and scalable solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in IHC, ISH, multiplex IF, spatial biology, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Scientific Operations for assay development, image analysis, and bioinformatics.
• Lead design, development, validation, and operationalization of novel assays and tools.
• Ensure rigor, reproducibility, and regulatory alignment across projects.
• Direct hands-on assay development and image analysis work.
• Mentor and develop scientists and staff; manage budgets and resource planning.
• Engage with sponsors, present capabilities at client meetings and conferences.
