Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a senior program leader for the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine to shape collaborations with industry, academia, and government partners. You will develop strategies, oversee program portfolios, and align translational initiatives with institutional goals.

The role requires a PhD, 10 years in leadership across academia, business development, and government relations, plus exceptional communication and cross‑functional management capabilities to drive

Qualifications

• PhD in a scientific discipline.
• Ten years of progressive management experience with academia, business development, finances, strategic planning, and government relations.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies in establishing clear direction and objectives, ability to simplify complex processes and foster a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and excellent communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategy for forming sustaining collaborations with domestic industries, startups, academics, non-profits, government and scientific leaders to advance the Institute's mission.
• Develop novel deal structures, grants, and other funding opportunities to support sustainability and growth of the Institute.
• Source and recommend partnerships and internal capabilities to meet the Institute's mission.
• Develop, target, execute and operationalize strategic programs, projects and opportunities.
• Use metrics and root cause analysis to improve the Institute's strategies and programs.
• Engage with external partners to shape the future through the Institute's scientific capabilities.
• Collaborate with staff to integrate new collaborations and capabilities.
• Raise issues and propose solutions to support success and sustainability.
• Partner with leadership to align regulatory and translational strategies with WFIRM objectives.
