Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem invites a mid- to senior-career scientist to lead a high-quality research program within the AARI priorities at Wake Forest University Health Sciences Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

You will design and execute funded projects, act as PI or Co-PI, and collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and external partners to advance cancer research and patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required in health science or related field.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in public health, health sciences, biostatistics, health economics, or health services research.
• Evidence of funding as PI or Co-I on external grants sought.

Responsibilities

• Sustains high quality program of research aligned with AAH strengths and AARI priorities.
• Leads or co-leads complex projects with clinicians and other scientists to develop and conduct research.
• Acts as PI, Co-PI or Co-investigator on projects with health system stakeholders and external collaborators.
• Leads project teams to achieve study objectives, deliver results on time, and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Designs grant submissions to internal and external funding agencies to secure funding.
• Disseminates research findings through reports, presentations and publications.
• Contributes expert knowledge to develop/refine the academic research agenda and system-wide initiatives.
• Mentors junior scientists and investigators.
