Job description

The hiring range for this role is:

$155,000.00 - $175,000.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range, and this range may also be modified in the future. A candidate's position within the range may depend on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual bonus incentive pay.

Synergie Medication Collective is a new organization focused on improving affordability and access to costly medical benefit drugs for nearly 100 million Americans. The Trade Client Strategy Director liaises with participants, manages clinical policies, implements strategies, and collaborates with the Client Relations team for Trade inquiries. Responsibilities include managing drug and pharmacy policies, rebate programs, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer contracts.

Primary Job Functions

  1. Consult with Client Relations on Trade inquiries and initiatives.
  2. Understand and communicate rebate and formulary strategies to health plan participants.
  3. Knowledge of PBM operations, drug and UM strategy, and policy implementation.
  4. Interpret pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts and align terms with UM policies.
  5. Manage clinical policies to ensure manufacturer contract compliance.
  6. Support Client Relations with Trade-related inquiries.

Stakeholder Partnerships

  • Analytics Team: Collaborate on drug trends and utilization data.
  • Client Relations: Serve as primary contact for participant questions.
  • Clinical Team: Review clinical data and policies.
  • Invoicing Team: Maintain policy library and support inquiries.
  • Product Team: Provide medical policy support for contracts and outcomes programs.

Education, Experience, and Certification

  • Pharmacy degree and Pharm D. preferred.
  • 5-7 years in healthcare, PBM, utilization management, pharmaceutical contracting, or related fields.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Application of clinical data for financial value.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Pharmacy residency or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with PBM, Medicaid, Medicare, and health plans.
  • Contract language and risk mitigation knowledge.

Travel up to 10%. Work is generally remote.
