Job summary

PacifiCorp in Portland, OR, is seeking a senior HR leader to direct compensation, employee benefits and retirement programs, ensuring compliance and operational excellence while guiding merit and executive compensation plans.

You will coach a high-performing team, oversee annual reporting and executive disclosures, manage vendor relationships, and drive budget discipline in a comprehensive benefits and compensation function.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in Human Resources management.
• Five years of direct people management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate staff.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefits plans and applicable laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compensation, benefits and retirement programs, including health care and 401(k).
• Oversee executive compensation programs and disclosures (e.g. 10-K).
• Ensure compliance with applicable plans, laws and regulations.
• Manage annual reporting and filing requirements (e.g., 10-K, 5500’s, PBGC payments).
• Assist in the development of bargaining proposals and union benefit negotiations.
• Participate in union negotiations and present plans to employees and union leaders.
• Manage relationships with benefit and compensation plan consultants, brokers, trustees and admins.
• Oversee employee inquiries on benefits and compensation; communicate information.
• Monitor costs and propose enhancements to plans.
• Trustee on pension and medical trusts.
• Oversight of complex data requests and responses.
• Budget establishment and adherence within department.
• Maintain sensitive confidential information.
• Coach and develop employees; review performance.
