Job summary

VanEck is seeking a Director of Business Development & Partnerships for Digital Assets in New York. You will lead relationships with US-based exchanges, fintech platforms, and DeFi protocols to drive tokenized securities distribution and sustained AUM growth.

You will translate partner needs into product input, manage end-to-end partnerships, and track channel performance, while navigating broker-dealer frameworks and compliance constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development or partnerships within crypto/digital assets.
• Track record of closing distribution agreements or listings.
• Existing relationships with exchanges, DeFi BD teams, and fintech platforms.
• Understanding tokenized securities and on-chain distribution.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC constraints for CeFi/DeFi distribution.

Responsibilities

• Exchange & CeFi Distribution: own relationships with US exchanges and fintech platforms; secure listings and structured distribution agreements; ensure compliance with broker-dealer frameworks; track AUM by channel partners.
• DeFi Protocol & Ecosystem Integration: identify integration opportunities with DeFi protocols; maintain relationships with ecosystem leads; coordinate with product/tech to meet liquidity and standards; track on-chain AUM and follow-on opportunities.
• Fintech & Emerging Platform Partnerships: source distribution relationships with fintechs; design pilot programs; collaborate with marketing/product for onboarding and co-marketing.
• Market Intelligence & Product Feedback: represent market needs to product/roadmap; monitor competitors; participate in industry events and governance forums.
