Job summary

VanEck seeks a Vice President of Regulatory Operations to lead KYC/AML and regulatory strategy for its digital asset distribution. You will partner with FinOps, legal, and product to shape compliance for tokenized securities and broker‑dealer operations.

Responsibilities include BD regulatory reporting, policy frameworks, AML/KYC design, blockchain analytics, and licensing across geographies, with growth toward FinOps principal as the business scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial services compliance, regulatory operations, or legal roles.
• Working knowledge of FinOps at a broker‑dealer; Series 27 is a plus but not required.
• Strong command of SEC 15c3-1 and 15c3-3; FINRA supervisory requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of AML/BSA obligations, KYC program design, and OFAC/sanctions screening.
• Experience with digital assets, tokenized securities, or crypto‑native products.
• Ability to translate regulatory developments into concrete product/operational guidance.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside our FinOps principal on day‑to‑day regulatory compliance and reporting for VanEck's new digital asset broker‑dealer, with a path to the FinOps principal role.
• Manage the operational buildout of the BD in coordination with legal, finance, and product, covering supervisory procedures, books and records, and net capital calculations.
• Develop and maintain the policies and controls framework specific to the BD's limited‑purpose scope.
• Serve as the internal escalation point for BD‑related compliance questions across the tokenization team.
• Track the digital asset regulatory landscape and translate changes into practical product guidance.
• Advise on new product structures and distribution strategies under current rules; license requirements for new geographies.
• Contribute to internal memos, board materials, and partner presentations requiring regulatory analysis.
• Build and own the KYC/AML framework for onchain product distribution; design controls for high-volume onboarding.
