Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Director of Therapy Operations to oversee therapy services, shape patient care quality, and lead organizational development. You will manage operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across teams to drive program success.

The role focuses on policy implementation, staff accountability, and strategic forecasting, with a strong emphasis on patient care and staff recognition within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Current State license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in professional/management areas preferred.
• Minimum of five years of rehabilitation experience, including two years in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, implement, and communicate policies, processes, and procedures; hold staff accountable.
• Collaborate with marketing to educate staff and the community about awareness, prevention, and treatment options; develop clinical affiliations.
• Forecast operational revenues and expenses using historical data and trends; recommend salary adjustments based on market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, business standards, and documentation.
• Educate staff on updates and changes in standards; advise the CEO on needs for effective program operation.
• Provide patient care.
• Celebrate successes of staff and patients.
