Job summary

Alcoa in Pittsburgh seeks an in-house technical accounting leader to drive complex financial issues and strategic transactions. You will partner with Finance, Strategy, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Commercial teams to influence global decisions and ensure SEC reporting readiness.

The role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, CPA credential, and 12+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and external reporting in a manufacturing environment. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• 12+ years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of experience within an external reporting team of a publicly traded manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex global accounting issues and financial transactions, including contracts and restructurings.
• Document accounting positions for management and auditors; present topics to senior management.
• Review accounting considerations for transactions; assess impact with Strategy, Tax and Legal teams.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly segment and entity results for senior financial management.
• Assist in quarterly earnings communications to Audit Committee and SEC filings.
• Lead longer-term strategic finance projects.
