Job summary

Archer is partnering with J.P. Morgan to recruit a Tech Risk & Controls Director to shape the firm's technology risk strategy and regulatory compliance posture.

You will lead risk programs, collaborate with BISOs, Product Owners, and auditors, and drive strategic initiatives to protect the organization’s technology stack. You will oversee risk governance, prioritization of controls, and the safe adoption of enterprise AI capabilities while ensuring security, auditability, and regulatory

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology risk management or related field with regulatory focus.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, security architecture, networking and identity.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and advise executives.
• Experience in data security, risk assessment, reporting, and governance.
• Experience guiding AI governance and risk management initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory environments, audits and controls.
• Ability to operate independently in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tech risk strategies, policies and processes.
• Drive AI governance, risk, and compliance across risk reporting and controls.
• Identify emerging technology risks and provide expert counsel to stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, auditors and cross-functional leads.
• Oversee controls, issue management, and governance metrics for leadership.
• Establish governance standards for AI-assisted workflows with audit traceability.
