Job summary

The ARM Institute seeks a Director, Technology Portfolio Manager to lead strategic initiatives accelerating robotics, AI, and advanced manufacturing into real-world use. Based in Pittsburgh, this hybrid role collaborates with government sponsors, industry, academia, and internal teams to transition technologies from development to deployment.

You will oversee program planning, performance tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication while guiding multi-project portfolios and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Robotics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience managing complex technical programs.
• Experience with government agencies, defense organizations, manufacturing firms, research entities, or technology developers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of technology transition programs in robotics, AI, and advanced manufacturing.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource needs.
• Monitor performance, risks, budgets, deliverables, and customer expectations.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate resources across programs.
• Prepare program reports, executive briefings, and metrics for leadership and sponsors.
• Support proposal development, planning, and new program initiation activities.
