Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Director of Technical Operations - Manufacturing & Fabrication to lead and optimize technical operations across multiple facilities. You will drive operational excellence, ensure high quality O&P products, and enhance production efficiency through new technology implementations.

This leadership role oversees manufacturing teams and equipment maintenance. Travel will be 30–40% depending on business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing / fabrication, business administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing / fabrication, operations, or technical leadership, preferably in medical devices or healthcare products.
Proven experience managing multi-site manufacturing operations, including fabrication and assembly processes.
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
Understanding of CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and traditional O&P fabrication techniques.
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance in medical device manufacturing.
Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing and fabrication operations across multiple sites to optimize efficiency.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve production process efficiency.
Oversee technical operations, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and clinical teams for new O&P solutions.
Lead design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives to boost productivity.
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure operational success.
