Job summary

Alumni Ventures in New Hampshire seeks a Director, Talent Development to lead development programs, coach managers, and build a culture of continuous growth. You will design IDPs, strengthen leadership capabilities, and enable AI‑enabled learning with practical, role‑based training that drives performance and organizational impact.

You’ll partner with leadership to design enterprise learning and measure outcomes, traveling to offices as needed to deliver programs and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in talent development, L&D, leadership development, coaching, or organizational development.
• Experience building Individual Development Plans and coaching managers on employee development.
• Experience designing and facilitating manager and leadership development programs.
• Strong instructional design and curriculum development experience.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to deliver candid, constructive feedback that drives performance while building trust.
• Strong business judgment with the ability to translate business priorities into practical development solutions.
• Strong consulting and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Demonstrated project management and program execution skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel periodically to Alumni Ventures offices to facilitate learning programs, coach employees and managers, and support talent development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop Individual Development Plans for every employee and support ongoing development conversations.
• Coach managers on capability gaps, priorities, and practical learning experiences.
• Meet with employees to support development planning while reinforcing manager ownership.
• Identify and remove barriers that limit performance and execution.
• Create tools, templates, and resources that simplify development planning.
