Mackinnon Bruce International is partnered with a leading global mining organisation seeking an experienced Director of Sustaining Capital & Projects to provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of sustaining capital projects throughout North American operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in engineering, project management or capital delivery.
• Proven experience managing a large portfolio of concurrent capital projects.
• Experience delivering sustaining capital projects, preferably in mining or mineral processing.

Responsibilities

• Govern a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across multiple North American sites.
• Provide strategic direction across the full project lifecycle, from scoping through to close-out.
• Establish consistent project governance, standards, KPIs and reporting across the portfolio.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, cost, risk and performance.
• Support quarterly capital planning and allocation in partnership with finance and operational teams.
• Provide oversight of AFE development, approval and execution.
• Partner closely with site operations, engineering, maintenance and project teams to align with priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, capital efficiency and portfolio performance.
• Provide senior-level reporting and recommendations to corporate leadership.
• Work with internal engineering teams and external EPCM partners to ensure successful project execution.
