Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking an Admin Director of Surgical Services in San Antonio, TX. The role oversees one to two departments, plans budgets, and directs staff on a 24-hour basis, ensuring quality outcomes and efficient resource use.

The position requires a Nursing degree, Texas RN license, BLS, and 5+ years of management experience. Relocation assistance may be available for ideal candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Texas State RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 5 years experience in discipline or specialty; 3–5 years in progressively responsible management.

Responsibilities

• Establishes goals and objectives that support strategic plans of the facility.
• Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets.
• Directs daily operations of assigned department/s.
• Directs performance of staff and provides coaching.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and quality initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with medical staff and internal/external customers.
• Redesigns workflows to improve customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.
