Job summary

Mavenir Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Support Engineering in Richardson, TX to lead deployment, integration, and ongoing support of telecom solutions in Access and Packet Core domains.

You will collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to ensure high customer readiness and SLA adherence. The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years in telecom operations with leadership experience, plus hands-on Unix/Linux deployments in data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a directly related field.
• Five (5) years experience in telecommunications operations including software deployment and support.
• Three (3) years experience in people management and technical leadership in multinational teams.
• One (1) year deploying, supporting, and designing Unix/Linux based telecom products in datacenters.
• Software development life cycle components include requirements, specifications, design, and testing.
• Implementing and validating secure, real-time network access with session border controllers.
• Evaluating technical and product requirements and translating these into operational solution deployments.
• Incident management including cross disciplinary coordination for timely service restoration and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, integrate, and support solutions in Access and Packet Core for mobile carrier clients.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, system engineering, software development, testing, global support, deployment, and 3rd parties.
• Serve as operational representative to customers for domain and proxy requirements; update on roadmaps, incidents, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and SLAs.
