Job summary

FacilityIG in Tempe, AZ seeks a Director of Supply Chain and Warehouse Operations to own procurement, inventory, and delivery planning for electrical, solar, and construction projects. You will lead the Purchasing and Warehouse teams, drive cost control, and ensure timely material availability across Arizona, with daily use of AI tools such as Claude and Copilot.

The role requires 7+ years in procurement and leadership, construction experience preferred, and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in procurement, supply chain, or warehouse and logistics management, including 3+ years leading people.
• Electrical, solar, or commercial construction experience preferred.
• Proven results negotiating vendor pricing and managing material cost on construction projects.
• Able to read electrical drawings and check material takeoffs for accuracy.
• Experience with Procore, an inventory or warehouse management system, and QuickBooks or similar.
• Forklift certification and OSHA 10/30 preferred; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, construction management, or business, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing for materials, equipment, tools, and consumables; run competitive bids and negotiate unit pricing with suppliers.
• Build and maintain the approved vendor list, pricing agreements, and vendor credit accounts.
• Review material takeoffs against drawings; order long-lead items early and flag potential delays.
• Issue and track purchase orders; reconcile receipts and invoices with Accounting.
• Lead the Warehouse Operations Manager and warehouse team; set receiving, inventory, pull lists, load-outs, and tool tracking standards.
• Own inventory accuracy and run quarterly counts reconciled to the books.
• Plan and dispatch deliveries to Arizona job sites to match crew schedules.
• Track material cost against estimate by project and report savings and variances monthly.
• Use AI tools daily to check takeoffs, compare bids, draft POs, and automate reporting.
