Job description

A high-growth AI infrastructure company is building a next-generation platform for AI inference, delivering high-performance compute capacity through a rapidly expanding network of data center sites. The company is looking for a Director, Supply Chain Management to own the planning, sourcing, and delivery of the critical equipment required to turn powered sites into live compute.

This is not a transactional procurement role. You’ll own the demand plan, bill of materials, supplier strategy, long-lead ordering, and logistics execution across the site portfolio. The objective is to ensure GPUs, servers, networking, and critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure are ordered early, delivered on time, and never become the gating item for deployment.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the per-site bill of materials, translating site design and capacity plans into complete, costed equipment and material requirements.
  • Build and maintain the ordering calendar across the site portfolio, ensuring long-lead items are procured well ahead of construction and energization milestones.
  • Maintain a rolling demand forecast and align purchasing decisions with construction and deployment schedules.
  • Identify supply constraints, allocation risk, and lead-time issues early and develop mitigation plans before they impact deployment.
  • Lead category strategy, RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selection across GPUs, servers, networking, and critical electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Secure allocation and favorable commercial terms with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and other strategic suppliers.
  • Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, lead time, delivery, allocation, and business continuity.
  • Develop dual-source and contingency strategies for critical equipment and supply-constrained categories.
  • Own inventory planning, logistics, delivery sequencing, and site coordination.
  • Ensure materials and equipment arrive in the correct sequence to support construction, commissioning, and deployment.
  • Partner closely with Construction, Site Selection, Engineering, Deployment, and Finance to keep supply chain execution aligned with project milestones and capital plans.
  • Build the processes, reporting, forecasting, and supplier relationships required to support a rapidly scaling infrastructure portfolio.
What We’re Looking For
  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, demand planning, or category management within data centers, hardware, cloud infrastructure, or other large-scale infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of demand planning and long-lead procurement against complex project schedules.
  • Direct experience sourcing GPUs, servers, networking equipment, or mission-critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Strong track record negotiating complex, high-value supplier and equipment agreements.
  • Experience operating in supply-constrained markets and securing strategic allocation from key suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, logistics, supplier risk, and equipment delivery sequencing.
  • Experience managing supplier KPIs, quality, continuity planning, and commercial performance.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing significant capital expenditures.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where procurement decisions directly affect deployment timelines.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
