Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Director of Supplier Quality to lead the supplier quality organization within our Supply Chain team.

This senior role will establish strategy, lead buyoffs and audits, and drive continuous improvement to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliable ramp-ups in a fast-growing aerospace manufacturing environment. You will manage a team of managers, leads, and SQEs, partner with Engineering and Production, and report to Apex leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 15+ years in Supply Chain or Supplier Quality.
• 5+ years leading teams in Supplier Quality.
• Experience scaling a supplier quality org and hiring.
• Proven RCCA, CAPA, audits, and inspection expertise.
• Strong sourcing, supplier development, and performance improvement background.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the supplier quality org, including managers and engineers.
• Set and own the supplier quality strategy to support growth and cost-efficiency.
• Own supplier buyoff, incoming inspection, and material review processes.
• Define metrics, dashboards, and goals, driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee supplier audits, qualification, PPAPs, and new supplier material qualification.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on first article inspections and qualification.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for supplier-related issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve delivery, performance, or compliance issues.
• Manage supplier performance scorecards and improvement plans.
