Blue Origin is seeking a Director of Supplier Quality to lead and shape the supplier quality organization across its facilities. You will partner with operations, supply chain, and programs to ensure quality, reliability, on-time delivery, and compliance supporting sub-orbital and orbital manufacturing and launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading supplier audits and qualification activities.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, APQP, SPC, and MSA.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management system standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies aligned with company goals and program requirements.
• Lead a team of two Senior Managers and multiple Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) responsible for supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring.
• Establish and maintain supplier qualification and approval processes, including first article inspections (FAI) and production part approval processes (PPAP).
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) processes for supplier-related nonconformances.
• Manage supplier scorecards and KPIs to track and improve supplier quality performance.
• Partner with Procurement and Engineering to assess and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Support supplier development initiatives to build long-term supplier capability and capacity.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP).
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by qualifying suppliers for new materials, components, and processes.
• Represent Supplier Quality in design reviews, program reviews, and executive-level briefings.
