Job summary

Spotify seeks an Associate Director to architect and evolve its subscription portfolio, shaping tiers, add-ons, bundles, and pricing ecosystems for millions of listeners worldwide. You’ll blend commercial insight, consumer behavior, and market signals to inform strategic portfolio decisions and drive sustainable growth.

You will collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Finance, Licensing, and Legal, guiding in-market tests and roadmaps that reflect willingness-to-pay and regional ladders,

Qualifications

• Experience in pricing, packaging, monetization or subscriptions.
• Ability to reason across a packaging-and-pricing system, not a single product.
• Strong intuition for consumer behavior and value perception.
• Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional consensus.
• Experience with Good-Better-Best architectures, add-ons, bundles, or regional price ladders.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of Spotify’s subscription portfolio, including tier structure, add-ons, bundles, and feature allocation.
• Set the logic of the price ladder, including regional ladders across markets.
• Drive the insight agenda with Consumer Insights and Analytics; translate findings into portfolio strategy.
• Partner with GTM Enablement and cross-functional teams to design in-market tests tied to consumer research.
• Build the business case for portfolio decisions, including sizing, contribution logic, and trade-offs.
• Drive alignment across Product, Finance, Pricing, Legal, Licensing, and senior leadership on key decisions.
• Influence the product roadmap to reflect willingness-to-pay signals and portfolio strategy.
• Own the multi-year evolution of Spotify’s subscription portfolio, including two-to-three year horizons.
