Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Director, Strategic Initiatives to shape and execute DAIO strategy across data, analytics, AI, and operations. This hybrid role will engage senior leaders, translate long‑term direction into actionable initiatives, and measure progress with strategic dashboards and reports.

You will partner with the DAIO leadership team to align enterprise priorities, develop roadmaps, and drive cross‑functional programs while communicating clear narratives to executives and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10–14 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategy execution, or related leadership roles.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives, including C‑suite and Board interactions.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and C‑suite reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in large, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DAIO senior leadership to translate strategy into actionable initiatives and roadmaps.
• Facilitate strategic planning sessions with executives to define priorities and success measures.
• Lead strategic initiatives within DAIO to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Develop OKRs, KPIs, and scorecards aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Create executive‑level reporting and materials for CEO‑level reviews.
• Design governance forums and executive reviews to track progress and risks.
• Coordinate content for senior leadership meetings and Board materials.
• Ensure consistent messaging across DAIO deliverables and functions.
• Conduct market and industry analyses to inform priorities and decision‑making.
