Job summary

The Hartford is a leading insurer seeking a Director, DAIO Strategy Insights to steer strategy for Data, Analytics, AI, and Operations. This hybrid role requires office presence in Columbus, OH (Tue–Thu) with additional locations in Chicago, Hartford, or Charlotte.

You will translate vision into executable initiatives, create dashboards and executive reports, and shape governance across DAIO while working closely with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or Related Field. MBA in Strategy or Management Operations/Operational Excellence preferred.
• 10-14 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategy execution, management consulting, transformation, communications, or related leadership roles.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives, including C‑suite and Board‑level interactions.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and C‑suite‑level reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in large, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DAIO senior leadership to refine, operationalize, and execute DAIO strategy, goals, objectives, and priorities.
• Facilitate strategic planning sessions with executive leadership to define priorities, focus areas, and success measures.
• Lead and support structured strategic initiatives within DAIO to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Develop and define OKRs, KPIs, and scorecards aligned to Enterprise Data, Enterprise AI and Data Architecture priorities.
• Create clear, compelling strategic narratives for communication of DAIO’s priorities and progress.
• Develop high‑quality executive‑ready materials, including presentations and board‑readiness content.
• Support DAIO leadership meetings and senior executive meetings with coordinated content.
